Free! Music! Contest 2010 =================== To promote Creative Commons licensed music and the musicians behind it, Musikpiraten e.V. launched this year once again the Free! Music! Contest. This year 130 artists and bands from more than 30 countries registered! The great increase is the result of the great support of many bloggers, online magazines, free radios and internet radios, that spread the contest. A special mention goes out to our patron Cory Doctorow. "I really like the Free! Music! Contest. Promoting Creative Commons content this way is a very good idea!" Bestseller author Doctorow believes, that sharing digital data should be fully legalized. Copyright should be restricted to commercial issues. He published all his work CC-BY-NC-SA, so they can be shared and modified, as long as there is no commercial background and the new work uses the same license.
